Safety Guidelines
- These trails are not patrolled. Call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
- Ski in control at all times and watch for unmarked obstacles such as fallen trees or exposed rocks.
- Skiers are responsible for their own safety–be aware of others and move to the edge of the trail if you stop.
- Move to the side or off the trail when groomers pass with equipment. Do not attempt to pass groomers on the trails.
- Follow signage.
Trail Rules
- Dogs are prohibited on MacDonald Pass. Do not bring them, on paw or in a backpack.
- Hiking, biking and snowshoeing are prohibited on MacDonald Pass when trails are groomed.
- Ski to the right side of the trail and climbing skiers yield to a descending skier.
- Do not endanger yourself or others by skiing against a one-way trail or skiing recklessly.
Trail Etiquette
- Faster skiers, pass with care and notify skiers that you are passing them.
- When pulling pulks or sleds please use the skate lane and stay off the classic track.
- Be courteous to other skiers and to the volunteers who give their time to provide groomed trails!
PLEASE NOTE: Dogs and walkers/snowshoers are permitted on the Bill Roberts Golf Course. There is also a muti-use area on the south side of the MacDonald Pass summit. Stemple Pass is another beautiful multi-use area to enjoy with dogs.
